Maierl-Alm and Chalets: Location and Driving Directions

Driving Directions to Maierl:

The Maierl Alm is situated on a plateau at 1225 m right on the ski slope in Kirchberg / Kitzbühel and is accessible by car all year. The "Road to Maierl Alm" the Krinbergweg and the Krinberg is a classic and paved mountain road. In the winter it is cleared daily by the community. Please note that for safety reasons snow chains may be required. Winter tires are also a requirement for the journey.

You may park your car at the turnoff to the cable car (parking Pengelsteinlift P1) or leave it in the garage in Kirchberg (cost of the parking fees are 22 € to 40 € per week). A Shuttle service is available if pre arranged.

Directions by GPS: When you enter your GPS coordinates, please make sure that "Krinberg” is shown on the display. The address "Krinberg 14, A-6365 Kirchberg in Tirol".

The following describes the approach driving directions from Munich without vignette!

Take the motorway A8 towards Salzburg, than take the junction to the A93 (A12) until Kufstein Süd exit. Please leave here and take the federal road B178 (previously B312) direction St. Johann / Kitzbühel. Follow the signs to Kitzbühel. In Kitzbühel drive through the industrial estate and turn right in the direction Kirchberg / Wörgl (the tunnel) to go to Kirchberg.

In Kirchberg:

In Kirchberg at the roundabout drive towards Aschau. Drive through Kirchberg and after 3 km you reach "Rettenbach / Skirast". Immediately after the sign Rettenbach on your left is the ski lift station Pengelstein. Right next to the cable car you drive up the mountain and from there follow the signs for "Maierl". Destination Krinberg 14, A-6365 Kirchberg in Tirol. Parking is available in our garage (entrance height 2.05 m) or in the outdoor parking lot on Maierl.
